End-to-End Workflow

How YourVideo AI creates ready-to-post Shorts.

An inside look at our video processing pipeline, from your initial upload to final MP4 downloads and SRT subtitles.

Step 1: Upload & Parameter Selection

In the Shorts Studio, drag and drop your source video or click browse. Select:

  • Clip Count: Choose between 1 and 8 Shorts from a single video.
  • Clip Duration: Select 15, 30, 35, 45, or 60 seconds per clip.
  • Content Language: English, Hindi, Hinglish, Spanish, or Auto-detect.
  • Subtitle SRT Generation: Toggle on to generate separate timed subtitle files.

Accepted formats include MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, and AVI up to 2 GB (2048 MB).

Step 2: Audio Extraction & Speech Recognition

Once uploaded, the platform extracts an isolated audio stream and runs speech transcription:

  • When AI-assisted mode is active, the audio is analyzed to produce accurate, word-level and sentence-level timecoded transcript segments.
  • If audio contains no intelligible speech (e.g. music-only or silent clips), transcription falls back gracefully to deterministic spacing.

Step 3: Intelligent Moment Selection

Selecting highlights depends on whether AI assistance is active on your server session:

  • AI ON (AI-Assisted Highlights): The language model reviews the complete timecoded transcript and selects high-impact, coherent, non-overlapping segments that work as standalone clips.
  • AI OFF (Uniform Timing): The pipeline mathematically spaces candidate clip windows across the duration of the source video, ensuring reliable output even without external connectivity.

Step 4: 9:16 Video Rendering & Encoding

Each selected timestamp window is cut and reframed using high-efficiency H.264 video encoding and AAC audio compression:

  • Visual frames are center-cropped to 540×960 pixels, perfectly matching 9:16 mobile feeds on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
  • Output files are encoded with the faststart flag so video playback begins immediately in web browsers without waiting for the full file to download.

Step 5: Subtitle Generation & SEO Metadata

For each rendered Short, the system generates:

  • Downloadable SRT Subtitle: Standard SubRip subtitle text files mapped to the exact start of the clip.
  • Suggested Title: Hook-oriented video title tailored to the spoken content.
  • Description & Hashtags: Relevant hashtags and summary ready to copy with a single click.
