Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to know about processing videos, supported containers, subtitle exports, and account management.
What video formats and maximum file sizes are supported?
YourVideo AI accepts MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, and AVI containers. Uploads are supported up to 2 GB (2048 MB) per file with high-speed streaming and resumable chunking. The video must contain an intact video track and preferably a clear audio track for speech recognition.
How does the vertical 9:16 cropping work?
Our processing pipeline reframes widescreen (16:9) and other horizontal formats into standard 9:16 vertical video (540×960 pixels). The center frame is prioritized. For interviews or podcasts where the speaker is centered, this creates a clean, full-screen mobile look without letterboxing.
Are subtitles burned directly onto the video frames?
No. Subtitles are generated as standard .SRT (SubRip) files that you can download alongside your MP4 video. You can upload the SRT file directly when publishing to YouTube Shorts or TikTok, or import it into editing software (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve) to style fonts and colors however you prefer.
Why didn’t my video produce subtitle files?
Subtitle generation requires intelligible spoken speech. If your video is silent, consists primarily of background music, or contains heavy audio distortion, the speech transcription engine will not detect spoken words. In those cases, the video clip is still created and downloaded normally, but no empty SRT file is generated.
What does the "AI ON" vs "AI OFF" status indicate?
The compact status indicator in the navigation reflects whether AI-assisted analysis is verified and available on the server. When AI ON is active, speech transcripts are reviewed by our language model to pick high-interest conversational moments and write tailored metadata. When AI OFF is shown, the studio continues functioning reliably using balanced time intervals and template-based metadata.
How are my uploaded videos and data stored?
Uploaded video files and generated Shorts are stored securely on the server and linked strictly to your registered account ID. Other users cannot view, download, or access your project history. For complete details, see our Privacy Policy.
Can I leave the browser page while a video is processing?
Once the initial file upload finishes (reaching 100% on the upload bar), your conversion job runs safely in the background on the server. You can close the tab or switch pages. When you return and log in, your completed clips will be waiting in the My Projects workspace.
